How I help
I build a consistent comparison of the options, covering investment, operating costs, energy use and environmental consequences. We agree the scope, time horizon and assumptions so that the alternatives can be assessed on the same basis.
Where appropriate, I use consequential environmental assessment to examine effects beyond the project boundary, including changes in the wider energy system. Sensitivity analysis shows which assumptions matter most and where more information could change the decision.
The result is a documented basis for discussion and investment: the alternatives, their trade-offs, the main uncertainties and recommended next steps. Cost comparisons between district heating and heat pumps can be included where they are relevant.
