Challenges
Current pricing model not competitive enough
Customer dissatisfaction due to complexity
Uneven share of costs between customers
Result
Predictable income across warm and cold years
Higher customer satisfaction due to greater choice or possibility to influence costs
Different customer profiles bear their actual costs of heating
Competition between solutions for heating, mainly between district heating and heat pumps, is continuous. With better access to metering data and more digitalised systems for financial transactions, customer’s are demanding more accurate pricing models.
I’ve helped district heating companies and heat pump suppliers to develop more robust and intuitive pricing models through careful choice and tuning of pricing components such as energy, load and flow. The new pricing models secured a more stable income across different seasonal variations as well as made customers more satisfied with the service.
